For the second consecutive year, the Calvià Town Hall, the UIB and the EBAP organise the conference that will count on the participation of experts and the collaboration of IB3

The II Conference on Communication from the Public Administrations that, once again, is jointly organised by the Calvià Town Hall, the University of the Balearic Islands, the Balearic Public Administration School of the Balearic Islands Government and NovaGob, with the collaboration of IB3, will take place at the Casal de Peguera next Monday and Tuesday, 12th and 13th November.

This is the second edition of a conference in which a space for discussion and debate amongst communication professionals is created, through presentations, debates, co-creation workshops and this year's novelty of knowing success stories in the communication of public administrations.

The conference starts on Monday, at 9.30 a.m., with the welcome of the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the inaugural conference that this year will be given by the journalist and member of the RTVE Observatory of Equality, Montserrat Boix, who will speak on Public media in the light of the feminism challenge. The conference is open to all public upon registration.

There will be different presentations on specific themes offered by Patricia Plaja, coordinator of the Mossos d'Esquadra communication department, responsible for network communication when the attacks occurred in Barcelona and Cambrils (Bringing Public Administration to citizens in the social networks), and Sergio Jiménez, web analyst specialising in eGovernment (Data analysis to improve the effectiveness of public communication), amongst others.

Dialogue and debate tables will also be held, such as the one dedicated to Strategies and tools to incorporate the gender perspective in communication, in which will participate Montserrat Boix; the director of Diario de Mallorca, Maria Ferrer, and the journalist of the EFE Agency and member of the Sindicat de Periodistes de les Illes Balears, Tomás Andujar. Or the one titled Big data: goldmine of communication. Privacy, the great barrier?, carried out by Sergio Jiménez; the analyst and consultant in Social Media and specialist in audience segmentation in social networks, David Álvarez; and the expert in data journalism, Eli Vivas.

The conference will end with the co-creation workshops for the resolution of public communication challenges. Ràdio Calvià will carry out its programming within the framework of the conference, and IB3 Ràdio will broadcast on Tuesday at 6 p.m., on the stage of the Casal de Peguera, the programme 'Connexió Local', conducted by Magda Cortès, who will count on the participation of all the public radio stations of the Balearic Islands: Alcúdia Ràdio, Ràdio Artà, Ràdio Calvià, Capdepera Ràdio, Ràdio Es Castell, Ràdio Felanitx, Ràdio Illa, Ràdio Marratxí, Sa Pobla Ràdio, Ràdio mPollença, Ràdio Porreres and Titoieta Ràdio).
