The Consell de Mallorca is carrying out the works second phase to mitigate the acoustic impact on the Ma-1 section near Portals and Costa d'en Blanes
The Consell de Mallorca is installing these days the gabions in the median of the Ma-1 motorway with the aim of mitigating the acoustic impact on the Portals and Costa d'en Blanes areas. This is an action framed within the project that also envisaged the reinforcement of the road that was already carried out in that area two months ago, and which is carried out at the express request of the Calvià Town Hall.
This specific action is carried out during daytime hours because the work is carried out inside the median and has no direct effect on traffic, although the 150-metre section of the third lane on the left, direction to Andratx, has been closed to guarantee the access and exit of the trucks that are working in the place with the maximum safety conditions. There are two lanes available at all times.
It is expected that this phase of the work will end on 21st April, as 150 metres per day are being installed.
