CALVIÀ SIGNS A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH EL TORO RUGBY CLUB FOR FOUR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS ACTIVITIES DEVELOPED BY THE ENTITY
The Ajuntament contributes 2,940 euros to cover the participation costs of four young people in free time and sports activities to facilitate their social and emotional development
Both, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the president of El Toro Rugby Club sports association, Pablo Mateu Zelarayán, have signed a collaboration agreement that will allow four young people with social difficulties in the municipality to participate in sports activities developed by the sports entity.
Through this agreement, the Town Hall contributes 2,940 euros to cover the participation costs of four young people in leisure and sports activities that facilitate their social, emotional and conflict resolution learning development.
El Toro Rugby Club will receive the proposal of the Secondary Education Institutes of Calvià about the candidates to participate in the activities amongst the students who meet the requirements. The selection will be made based on the priority criteria related to the social, relational, and economic difficulties of the candidates.
El Toro Rugby Club is a Calvià sports association based in the Son Caliu rugby field, which is defined by its commitment to operate as an entity in which sports values prevail.
The agreement-signing event was also attended by the Town Hall's councillor, Nati Francés, and by Stevie Muntz on behalf of El Toro Rugby Club.
