The Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), has set up a new service to support people who work as self-employed. Via website, telephone or email, they can ask questions and resolve doubts on the measures implemented by the different public administrations due to the coronavirus.
The intention is that this professional group can obtain all the information about the possibilities and aids that are available for them. Thus, each specific situation will be analysed and will be supported by the processing of the request for extraordinary liquidity products for self-employed workers and companies that the ISBA financial institution has recently activated. The processing service will be expanded as other local, regional or state aid lines are established.
Through the telephone service (971 13 46 13, which will be operational from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) queries related to all extraordinary aids due to Covid-19, will be dealt with, resolved and forwarded. They can also be sent to the following email address: coronavirus@ifoc.es.
In addition, a specific website has been enabled (http://www.ifoc.es/ayudas-empresas-autonomos-coronavirus/) where self-employed can access information and the different aids and measures that the public administrations have made available for companies, and where additional future news will be added.
On the other hand, the IFOC has suspended the coworker fees payments for space use during the state of alarm, without this implying that they lose their right of use when restrictions due to Covid-19 are lifted. These spaces are made available to entrepreneurs, professionals, freelancers and small companies to promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas, as well as the generation of innovative projects.
According to data from the Regional Labour Observatory, the Social Security affiliations of self-employed in Calvià were over 5,000 from March to September 2019.
