CITIZEN CONSULTATION TO THE ACTION PLAN FOR CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY OF CALVIÀ
Check the brochure in this LINK
Calvià has begun the elaboration of the Action Plan for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES 2020-2030) that will define the key actions that the municipality will commit to tackle the climate and energy crisis. The Department of Sustainable Development, Environment and Ecological Transition has started this task with the aim of promoting measures against climate change, measures adapted to the municipality and to citizens' needs.
Therefore, we invite you to participate in this process with your opinion, to ensure that this new strategy reaches a greater degree of commitment and integration.

Calvià was the first municipality in the Balearic Islands to meet the objectives set out in the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, and pioneer in renewing its adherence to the pact, in February of last year, which implies the realisation of an Action Plan for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES). With a strategic horizon framed in the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), PACES focuses on moving towards an increasingly decarbonized, sustainable, energy-efficient municipality with a greater capacity to adapt and reduce the impacts of climate change.
In this way, the main achievements that are expected to be achieved with the plan will contribute to the fulfillment of the three main milestones of the commitment by 2030 of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy: reduce CO2 emissions by 40%, increase by 27% energy saving and efficiency and increase energy use and production with renewable energy by 27%.
