INFORMATIVE NOTE FROM THE LOCAL POLICE OF CALVIÀ
THE ACTIVITY OF A PORTALS NOUS RESTAURANT THAT WORKED AS A COCKTAIL BAR IS SUSPENDED
In the last week, 20 reports have also been filed for bottle parties
Officers of the Local Police of Calvià, by virtue of the resolution of the Ministry of Health and Consumption of 18th August, have proceeded to suspend in a precautionary manner the activity of a restaurant in Portals Nous in which it has been verified that the activity that was carrying out was a cocktail bar. Last Tuesday the BOIB published the modification of the Exceptional Prevention, Control and Coordination Measures Plan to face the health crisis caused by Covid-19, and in which the activity of establishments that carried out discotheque, café-concerts and cocktail bar activities was suspended. Similarly, activities similar to those indicated were suspended, so on Saturday night the Calvià Local Police required the precautionary closure of the Portals Nous premises with a restaurant licence that worked as a cocktail bar.
Bottle parties
On the other hand, during the past week, the Calvià Local Police officers drafted 20 reports to young people who carried out bottle parties on the coast. The first group consisted of six people in Torrenova located at five in the afternoon, all of them were also fined for not wearing a face mask. Another drinking meeting of eight people was located on the Cas Català beach at one in the morning. And finally, another group of six young people in Cala Vinyes who carried out a bottle party at three thirty in the morning.
Face masks
Regarding the mandatory use of face masks, the Local Police has drafted six reports against people who did not wear them in public transport. On the other hand, it has drafted four more reports for pedestrians who circulated without a face mask in controls carried out in Magaluf and Palmanova.
Carob beans
In addition to the usual tasks, ensuring the Covid regulations and the control of the influx on the beaches of Calvià, the police officers have also paid special attention in the last week to conducting dynamic face-to-face patrols in the afternoon and evening in agricultural areas of Calvià and es Capdellà to prevent the theft of carob beans.
