CALVIÀ REINFORCES THE TAXI SERVICE WITH 25 TEMPORARY LICENSES THAT WILL OPERATE FROM 1st JUNE TO 30th SEPTEMBER
Exams are also called for new taxi drivers due to the high demand of the sector

Calvià will have 25 new taxi licenses this summer. These are temporary licenses that will operate from 1st June to 30th September to reinforce the service in the municipality. The interested parties were able to attend a public draw held at the Town Hall where the service awardees obtained the temporary licenses. After reaching the allegations deadline, they can submit the relevant documentation to begin operating on 1st June. They are thus added to the 214 existing licenses.
Manuel Mas, Deputy Mayor for Mobility and Transport, explained that the entry into service of the new temporary licenses "will help cover the high demand in Calvià during the summer period due to the increase in the floating population. With this, we hope to decongest and improve public transportation."
On the other hand, the Mobility Department has also called for more exams for taxi drivers, thus responding to the sector's request.
