The vessel captained by Félix Comas, from the Arenal Sailing Club, obtained the first place in the event consisting of a 140 miles itinerary
The Santa Ponça Sailing Club received last Saturday night, the prize giving celebration for the XXIV Rei en Jaume yacht race which took place on Friday and Saturday on the Salou and Calvià coast lines and which ended that same day on the Santa Ponça Bay after an itinerary of 140 miles.
The vessel Pinyol Vermell, from the Arenal Sailing Club, captained by Félix Comas, won the first prize within the RI type; the second place was for Arosa XI from Fernando García from the Hospitalet de Vandellós Sailing Club and the third place was for the 02 Rocblanchotels yacht from Toni Colomar and also from the Hospitalet de Vandellós Sailing Club.
In the RI Promotion type,the first place was for Nine Divine from Francisco Guiral belonging to the Salou Sailing Club.
The prize giving event was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Sports from the Calvià Town Hall, Manolo Grillé; representatives from the Salou Town Hall, the yacht race organisers, the Santa Ponça and Salou Sailing Clubs and Puerto Portals Yacht Races Club, as well as all the participants.
