The Calvià Town Hall organizes, for the first time together with the COFUC, Catalan courses, between February and May, addressed to the Calvià citizens. Registrations for the A1 level can be submitted until 1st February.
The Calvià Town Hall starts, for the first time together with the COFUC, (Consortium for the promotion of the Catalan language and the spreading of the Balearic Islands culture overseas ), Catalan courses addressed to the citizens of the municipality.
The courses, which will be held at the IFOC, Ses Rotes Velles Public School and the Son Ferrer´s Public School, have been arranged depending on the level of proficiency. Thus, three different levels have been established: The A1, for those people who do not know the Catalan language, the A2, for those with a little knowledge of the language, and the B1, for those pupils with a basic knowledge.
The period for registrations will start on 16th January until the 27th January and there are two different ways of registering: either at the Calvià Town Hall´s Linguistic Service or through the COFUC´s web page: http://cofuc.caib.es. The final enrollment list will be published on 8th February.
The classes, will run from 13th February until the end of May, with a total of 80 hours divided in three weekly sessions of two hours each on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 19.30h.
The A1 and A2 courses have a cost of 80€ and 100€ is the cost for the B1 course, which will be collected by the COFUC. A 50% discount will be applied to all those unemployed or retired people, to those with a 33% or more of disability and for members of large families.
