This economic aid is framed within the catalogue of services which the consistory through the Social Services department aims at the most needed families.
The Calvià Town Hall, through the Social Services Department, has announced today that a total of 660 children of the municipality have benefited from the compensation services for the accquisition of text books for this academic year 2013/2014, which means a 14 % increase with regards to last year.
This present school term has counted, once more, with the official announcement carried out by the consistory for the accquisition of text books. The economic aid's total amount ascends to 109.405€, a 15% increase with regards to last year, and which the families received before the beginning of the classes.
This economic aid is framed within the catalogue of compensation services which the consistory through the Social Services Department aims at the most needed families with the aim of leaving no minor of the municipality without text books in front of the difficult economic situation which the family unit could present.
Said grants are addressed to those pupils of the public centres of the Balearic Islands living in the municipality of Calvià.
