The Town Hall, in collaboration with the IFOC, organised yesterday morning an Open Day at the municipal plot, located in the Son Bugadelles Industrial Estate, where the Ecological Vegetable Gardens will be placed.

About 50 interested people passed through during the morning who could, together with the technical experts of la Llar de Calvià (home for the elderly) and the IFOC (Calvià's Employment and Training Institute), know detailed information of the Ecological Vegetable Gardens service, which is addressed to the over 60-year-old unemployed residents of Calvià.
The municipal plot is divided in 32 subplots of about 30-40 m2 each one and it is expected that the official announcement for the assignment of the Ecological Vegetable Gardens will take place at the beginning of December.
This project has been carried out thanks to the participation of the SOIB (Balearic Islands Employment Service Agency) and the joint financing of both, the State Employment Service Agency (SEPE) and the European Social Fund (FSE), through the employment workshop "Horts Ecològics".
