The most amusing, musical and entertaining carnival arrives, once more, to Calvià. It will be on the forthcoming 1st March when all those participants in fancy dress will pass through the streets of Calvià village.
The most amusing, musical and entertaining carnival arrives, once more, to Calvià. It will be on the forthcoming 1st March when all those participants in fancy dress will pass through the streets of Calvià village, giving lots of colour and atmosphere to the municipality.
As every other year, we expect the attendance of a great number of participants and public to applaud the happiness and imagination of all those who come in fancy dress to the carnival in Calvià village and to, aboveall, enjoy of a great day of fun.
More than 4000 € in prizes is the total amount which will be shared out amongst the most outstanding participants. The prizes, as they have become usual in the last years, will be distributed in the categories of Floats, Groups and Individual or Couple. We also count with a Special Prize for the participant/s, the group or float carrying out the best entertainment and provoking the greater participation of the public during the parade. This prize can be added to the rest of prizes.
The gathering to participate in Sa Rua will take place on Saturday 1st March from 4 p.m. to 4,30 p.m. all along the Ses Quarterades St. (Calvià Village).
The intinerary will be as follows: ses Quarterades, c. Major, Avda. de Palma, c/ Julià Bujosa Sans, batle and finishing at the Town Hall's car park, after all the participants had carried out their choreographies in front of the jury who will be situated at the Town Hall´s staircase.

After the Rua's parade, a fiesta with music and animation will be held at the big marquee which will be installed at the Town Hall's car park. Also food and drink stalls will be set up for the availability of purchase. The prizes will be given during the fiesta.
