The Mayor participates in the 11th Plenary of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and will be part of the new Territorial Council, in representation of all the municipalities of the Balearic Islands

THE MAYOR OF CALVIÀ PARTICIPATES IN THE XI PLENARY OF THE SPANISH FEDERATION OF MUNICIPALITIES AND PROVINCES WITH 165 DELEGATED VOTES

 

Alfonso Rodríguez Badal is in the Economy and Local Administration Commission and will be part of the new Territorial Council which will arise from the Plenary, in representation of all the municipalities of the Balearic Islands.

 

 

The Mayor of Calvià will participate this forthcoming Saturday in the XI Plenary of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces which will be held at the Municipal Palace of Congress of Madrid, and in which the new President of the SFMP will be elected, as well as the members of the government's bodies.

 

Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, who recently has been elected vice president of the Federation of Local Entities of the Balearic Islands, is, together with the President of the FLEBI, representative of this organisation in the SFMP, therefore he will be part of the new Territorial Council's organisation chart representing the municipalities of the Balearic Islands.



The first Calvian Councillor participates with 165 votes delegated from other Town Hall's of the Balearic Islands: Alaró, Algaida, Artà, Banyalbufar, Capdepera, Consell, Costitx, Eivissa, Lloseta, Manacor Es Mercadal, Petra, Porreres, Sa Pobla, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ses Salines, Sineu, Son Servera and Es Migjorn Gran.



Alfonso Rodríguez Badal is, also, in the Economy and Local Administration Commission, in which are debated aspects such as: the Internal Revenues and Local Financing; Economic Development and Employment; Consumption and Commerce; Tourism; Public Service and Human Resources; Modernisation, Citizen Participation and Quality; and Society of the Information and New Technologies. The Resolution Proposals approved in the different Commissions, will be taken to Plenary for their approval.



The Mayor of Calvià stated that “we fight to change things and achieve the local autonomy to decide about our surplus, and to not depend on a rule of expense which the Minister Montoro imposed, and which limits the Town Halls' investment's growth, although they have low levels of debt ”.
