45 pupils of the Bendinat's Obligatory Secondary Education School have visited the Deixalleria of Calvià
A total of 45 pupils of the IES Bendinat visited the Deixalleria of Calvià on 23rd November. During the first part of the visit, the attendees were able to see, at the training room, a presentation about the residues' management in Majorca. They were informed of the residues' course from their collection to their treatment. A few videos were shown to understand better the process and the pupils were able to pose questions to clarify doubts.
In the second part of the visit they went on a tour through the premises to see the Deixalleria's functioning circuit. Within this visit, they have tried to show them the importance of the citizen collaboration in the whole process to achieve a correct management of the residues.
The Deixalleria is a premises which opens every day from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all those residents of Calvià who need to get rid of bulky or domestic residues dangerous for the environment such as paint waste, fluorescent tubes, batteries, small works debris, flat glass, electrical appliances, pruning waste, palm trees, etc. Calvià 2000 invites all the citizens to leave their residues in the premises whenever they need to get rid of any of the mentioned residues.
