I CAZAFOTO-SUB APNEA MALLORCA OPEN IN CALVIÀ WATERS
The first Cazafoto-sub Apnea Mallorca Open was held on 7th May in Calvià waters, particularly in es Caló des Monjo near Peguera. This championship is organised by the Club deportivo Apnea Mallorca ( Apnea Mallorca Sports Club) based in Calvià, and consists in taking free diving photographs of the different species found on our shores.
It is a sustainable and responsible to the environment activity that every day has more followers who practice it. The test is scoring for the championship of the Balearic Islands, being essential to participate to be federated in the Balearic Federation of Underwater Activities.
The Calvià Town Hall, the Hotel Association of Peguera and Cala Fornells, the Balearic Federation of Underwater Activities, the Club Perlas Manacor and the electrical appliance chain Euronics collaborate in the championship.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Environment, Francisca Muñoz, and Councillor for the area of Peguera, Juan Cuadros.
