GUIDED TOUR TO THE PUBLIC ESTATE OF GALATZÓ FINCA ON THE 21ST OF MARCH UNDER THE PROGRAM "ESPORT PER A TOTHOM. JUGAM A LES TOTES” OF THE CONSELL DE MALLORCA
People with disabilities will take part together with Red Cross volunteers
On Saturday the 21st of May there will be a guided tour in the public Galatzó estate where people with disabilities will be taking part. The event is part of the"Jugam a les totes. Esport per a tothom" project of the Consell de Mallorca, in which the Calvià Town Hall collaborates.
Red Cross volunteers will also be participating together with students and workers of the guide course for low and medium mountain itineraries of the Program for the Guarantee of Youth Ocupation that is developed by the IFOC and the SOIB, and co-financed by the European Social Fund. They will all be able to enjoy a sports day in an inclusive and accessible environment.
The activity will consist of a walking trail along the itinerary of 'ses Sínies'. This is a route in the estate that goes from the car park to the lime kilns. There will be specialized equipment and monitors in joëlette -a wheelchair adapted to mountain routes- for all people will nedd it.
Throughout the day, there will also be a guided tour of the house, to the old oil mill and store rooms. In the 'sala del cor' room participants will get an explanation on the legend of the Comte Mal.
The main objective of the “Jugam a les totes. Esport per tothom” programme of the Consell de Mallorca is to make all sports accessible to everyone, regardless of the capabilities of people involved. The project includes several activities that, apart from promoting sport in an inclusive environment, wants to raise awareness about the importance of eliminating barriers when practicing any type of sport.
