Café-concert bars, bars, etc., to obtain a commitment from the tourist industry to not allow recordings in private facilities that damage the image of the resort.
The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, said that the agreement has been unanimous and that there is a commitment in the sector: "This is not a fight in which the public administrations are alone, it’s the resort that says no” he declared, adding that "the handbrake that has been placed on excesses and reckless behavior has no going back".
On her behalf, the General Director for Tourism of the Balearic Islands Government, Pilar Carbonell, said it was
important to obtain the commitment of business owners, and that “they have been asked to be responsible. The change of tourist model, the reconversion of Magaluf –she said- is not going away. We want the area to be a model for reconversion, but we cannot do it alone. "
