After five months of intense work to optimise their employability, members of the III Employment Launcher of Calvià have participated in a forum, to demonstrate the knowledge acquired and contact with the business network.

This Employment Launcher is driven by the Town Hall (through the IFOC), Obra Social "la Caixa" and Fundación Santa María la Real.

The Amadip Centre of Palmanova has hosted the "Job Explorer Professional Meeting" organised by the participants of the III Employment Launcher of Calvià thus putting an end to the programme which, in this edition, has counted on 26 participants. The members of the III Launcher have divulged the results achieved by the team while there has been a space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge amongst unemployed people, entrepreneurs, specialists and recruiters.

13 women and 13 men, aged between 28 and 59 years -21 of them over 45 years, with various training profiles and coming from different sectors (construction, hospitality, education, culture, sport, communication, cleaning or administration, amongst others), have participated in this last launcher. The 46.1% of them have achieved employment by somebody else, the 7'6% have started their own professional projects, the 19.2% have chosen to reinvest in their professional requalification through training, and an 11'5 % are currently participating in selection processes, so we can say that this Launcher has a positive impact on the return to the labour market through an effective requalification of more than the 84.4% of its members.

The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, has reiterated the firm commitment of the Town Hall, through the IFOC, to this innovative programme of social and professional insertion, which in this edition has taken into account, mainly, those profiles with more difficulties to access to the labour market. He highlighted the success of the initiative, and the importance of the effort, involvement and teamwork by the participants to advance and overcome difficulties regarding the job-search. He has also recalled that the main objective of initiatives like this one is that the Calvià residents can access to more and longer works and in increasingly decent conditions.

The Calvià Town Hall has financed the initial 100% of the projects in 2016 with an item of 52.750 euros, which has been complemented with the contribution of 10.000 euros from the Obra Social (Social Work) of La Caixa.

The conference has counted on the talk "Innovation and Emotional Intelligence in businesses" by the specialist Sergio Fernández and a colloquium. Subsequently, the professional dynamics "Job explorer" has taken place.
