Meeting of the professionals involved in the prevention and fight against gender violence in the municipality of Calvià

The Calvià VioGen technical committee met this week at the Social Services Centre of Palmanova, where professionals involved in the prevention and fight against gender violence in the municipality participated: Social Services, Equality, Youth, Local Police, Cruz Roja's mobile telecare, IBdona of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Civil Guard (viogen and judicial police) and two representatives of the health centres of the Ibsalut.
At that meeting, they talked about the programme of activities to mark the 25th November, International Day against gender violence; the intervention data in terms of VioGen in each field was analysed- which will be published on 25th November-; the new needs to continue working in a coordinated way were put on the table, and the creation of a working group for the coordination and action protocol was proposed.
From the municipal social services centres, the attention to women victims has increased with regards to the previous year. Until September, 34 women victims of gender violence attended the centres for the first time.
