The Local Police of Calvià collaborates in the clarification of robberies in areas of Santa Ponça, Bendinat and Costa d'en Blanes with the arrest of an individual in the residential area of Nova Santa Ponça
A call from an address of the residential area of Nova Santa Ponça was received at the local police station of Calvià on Saturday 21st January 2017 about 7.30 p.m., in which a robbery in an inhabited house was denounced, specifically the resident asked for help since she had surprised an individual inside her house.
Within a few minutes a unit arrived at the address where the complainant indicated that the individual in question escaped having been located by a rear window of the house towards the back of the villas adjoining hers. Immediately an inspection of the zone was organised, and at that moment the agents could observe how an indivual dressed in dark, covered face and cap, fled towards the wooded zone.
The individual was located and detained. After the arrest, an ocular inspection of the house was carried out and it was possible to verify how effectively a blind at the back of the house was broken in order to access from the outside.
After carrying out the relevant procedures by the Local Police Report Unit, the detainee and the elements seized were transferred to the Judicial Police unit of the Civil Guard Palmanova Main Post that carried out the investigation that has ended with the arrest of a second individual.
The Civil Guard reports that all those people who have been robbed in the areas of Bendinat, Santa Ponça or Costa d'en Blanes can go to the premises of Calvià to check if any of the objects that have been seized are of their property.
