The Calvià Town Hall receives 103 proposals for their assessment in the second Participatory Budgeting of the municipality

THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL RECEIVES 103 PROPOSALS FOR THEIR ASSESSMENT IN THE SECOND PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING OF THE MUNICIPALITY
The Calvià Town Hall has received, until 20th April, 103 proposals within the framework of the second call for Participatory Budgeting to which 893,542 euros are allocated, and whose proposals to be elected will be carried out in 2018. Currently the consistory is implemeting the proposals approved in the first call for participatory budgeting, with the commitment to implement the projects presented and voted by the citizens of Calvià during the current year.
100 proposals submitted by the citizens and 3 proposals submitted from the Town Hall have been received in this second edition. The Deputy Mayor Fernando Alcaraz has informed that the assesment of the proposals by the technical team of the Town Hall will be carried out until 21st June and from 22nd June to 15th July the residents of Calvià will be able to vote through the web page the proposals that they decide to support for a value of 893,542 euros.
The General Directorate for Citizen Participation and Youth has coordinated the process of the second participatory budgeting and monitors the implementation of the first call in collaboration with the different technical directorates of the departments involved. The municipal government team values positively the participation of the citizens in the second edition of this process which has meant an increase of the proposals presented by the citizens regarding the first edition and maintains its commitment to continue increasing the participation of the neighbours in the decision making of the development of the municipality.
