The Balearic Triathlon Federation organises the event

The Balearic Duathlon Championship 2019 will take place next Sunday 31st in the morning in Peguera. It is a sporting event with two sections on foot and one by bicycle that will take place in Peguera, a fact that will cause traffic cuts and alterations between 8.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. The most affected roads will be the Peguera Boulevard, Ratolí St., Pau Casals St., Adolfo Colomar Schopke St. and Circumvalació road.

Reduce discomfort

The Balearic Triathlon Federation (FETRIB) has chosen the Calvià municipality for its championship. The race celebration will alter the normal circulation of vehicles through the streets of Peguera. Therefore, the surrounding and not involved streets will serve as an alternative to reduce traffic problems. The Local Police of Calvià will deploy an operation that will work on controlling the traffic.

In the morning

The competition will consist of three segments: the first will be 5 km running, after which the triathletes will get on their bikes to complete the 20 km circuit and then finish with another 2.5 km running. The event will be divided into two challenges: the school promotion and the absolute categories. The event will be held on Sunday morning, so it is expected that circulation will be restored without changes around noon.
