Mayor Carlos Delgado opened the building, which cost more than 32.000 euros

New property for the Senior Citizens of  El Toro.

Yesterday afternoon, the Mayor of Calvià, Carlos Delgado, accompanied by several Deputy Mayors and councillors, opened the new centre for senior Citizens of El Toro, a building of more than 170 sq. metres which will be used by the more than 250 members of this association.

With the opening of this centre, the Town Hall continues its policy of investments for the improvement, modernisation and adaptation of the Senior Citizens' centres with a view to achieving that all 10 centres at their disposal, with more than 1800 members, are provided with both assistance and equipment.  Throughout the course of this year, Carlos Delgado's government team will carry out further improvements in the centres of  Peguera, Es Capdellà, Palmanova, Portals Nous and Son Caliu.

The Town Hall has invested a total of  32.383 euros in the conversion of the El Toro Centre, ensuring maximum comfort for its members.  The improvements undertaken include the installation of air conditioning, new furnishings in the kitchen and other rooms, the shed,  double glazing and the installation of a ramp to improve access for those with limited mobility.
