Boutoil and Alemany win the Half Marathon Magaluf 2025.
  • In the 10-kilometre race, Sean Chalmers and Linda Majri took the men’s win
  • 1.450 athletes took part in the three races that make up the event

The 9th edition of Half Marathon Magaluf was held on Saturday 5th April in Calvià, with the start and finish at the Magaluf athletics track.

A total of 1.200 people, the maximum allowed for this edition, took the start, spread across the edition's two main events, the half marathon (21.1 km) and the 10 km. The edition has once again been marked by the participation of a large number of international athletes. If in the 2024 edition, a record was set with 52% of foreigners, in 2025 the percentage has been increased by 62%.

The races have started punctually, at 5:30 p.m. the Half Marathon, with 675 people registered, and at 5:40 p.m. the 10-km race with 525. Locals Aziz Boutoil and Gabriela Alemany won the Half Marathon's men's and women's categories, respectively. Meanwhile, Sean Chalmers and Linda Majri won the 10-kilometre race.

Half marathon race

The race has taken place on a circuit that combines different landscapes, the urban one that runs through the main avenues and beach promenades of Magaluf and Palmanova, and the rural and residential one that we find between Cala Figuera and Son Ferrer. Starting and finishing on the Magaluf athletics track, this is a flat, attractive, and varied route with the last 5 kilometres particularly fast, between the Palmanova seafront promenade, Magaluf's main thoroughfares, and the return to the athletics track. A light wind in the area slowed the pace of the race.

Once again, the race's dominant force in recent years, local runner Aziz Boutoil from ADA CALVIÀ, won the half marathon with a time of 1:13:04. In second place was Briton Craig Derbyshire (Real Fitness Race Team) with a time of 01:19:22, while in third place arrived local José David Benejam Picadizo (Club Marathon Mallorca VAS) with a time of 01:19:47.

In the women's half marathon, the victory went to local Gabriela Alemany Pujol (C.A. Montuïri 91.8) 01:27:43, followed by (Swiss) Clodagh O'reilly (ON) with a time of 01:28:44 in second place, and in third place the American April Caufield with a time of 01:28:26.

10-kilometre race

The 10-kilometre race took place on an urban circuit, which ran between the Magaluf athletics track, the main avenues of Magaluf and the Palmanova beach promenade. It is a fast route, in a colorful environment, which mixes tourists, athletes and residents.

In the men's category, the victory went to the British from the Aberdeen Amateur Athletics club, Sean Chalmers, with a time of 00:30:49. In second place arrived the local José Luis Lobay from the Amistat Novomar Hotel, with a time of 00:34:13. The men's podium was completed by the British Luke Mcneil, with a time of 00:34:50.

The French athlete Linda Majri (AMSLF FREJUS),  won the women's category with a time of 00:40:21, followed by local athletes Susana Fernández López (C.A Sporting Calviá), with a time of 00:40:32, and Noelia Perez Panadero, with a time of 00:42:24.

The mayor of Calvià expressed his satisfaction with the sporting event's progress, the great sporting atmosphere created in the area, and the massive presence of foreign athletes who, thanks to the event, were able to know Calvià and some of its sports facilities more in depth.
