- The total budget allocated to this initiative is 250.000€
- The grants will be maximum 40% of the works budget, with maximum 52.000€ per developer
Calvià Town Hall has launched a new call for grants for the installation of lifts in residential housing in the municipality that currently lack them, with the aim of improving accessibility and life quality of their residents.
The grants are aimed at residential housing homeowners associations. Those lift-lacking residential housing undertaking new lift installation works complying with applicable regulations will be eligible for the grants.
The total budget allocated to this initiative is 250.000€. The grants amount will be maximum 40% of the works budget, with maximum 52.000€ per developer, plus the amount paid for construction tax and building permit or prior notification fee, for the works to be subsidised, if applicable.
When the installation of the lift requires reasonable adjustments in terms of accessibility (for example, works required to adapt the accessible route, from the entrance to the site to the homes), it will be an essential requirement to include them in the works cost. Works that involve an increase in the volume of the property (except those necessary to resolve accessibility and that comply with urban planning regulations), the replacement of pre-existing lifts or the incorporation of new elements in existing lifts, as well as buildings intended for tourist exploitation are excluded.
One of the requirements to be eligible for the grant, amongst others, is that the works must not have begun at the time of the initial inspection visit. The maximum period for the works is 12 months from the publication of the provisional qualification, with the possibility of an extension in certain cases.
This initiative aims to improve the life quality of citizens by promoting accessibility in homeowners associations. The grants programme reflects the Town Hall's commitment to improving the well-being of Calvià residents and seeks to make daily life easier for many people, especially those with reduced mobility.
Applications can be submitted until 13th May 2025.
