Calvià Town Hall has opened the call to apply for buildings and homes rehabilitation grants. These grants aim to improve the state of conservation, accessibility and safety of the municipality's properties. The grants can cover up to 25% of the cost of the works, with a maximum of 30.000 euros per building or 6.000 euros per home.
Eligible actions and requirements
The owners' communities, sole owners, authorised tenants and usufructuaries may benefit from these grants, provided that the works are carried out in common elements of residential buildings or in single-family homes with a useful surface area of less than 120 m². The eligible actions include improvements to foundations, structures, roofs, terraces, facades, common facilities and accessibility adaptations, such as the installation of ramps or elevators.
Buildings must be at least 20 years old (except for accessibility works), and at least 75% of the dwellings in the building must be habitual residences. In the case of single-family homes, these must constitute the habitual residence of the beneficiaries throughout the application and processing process.
Documentation and application deadlines
To be eligible for these grants, it is essential to present a series of documents, such as the application form, bank ownership certificates, detailed budgets for the works and, if necessary, proof of being up to date with tax obligations. Applications can be submitted until 16th January 2025. The works must be carried out within a maximum period of 12 months from the resolution of the grant award, although this period could be extended in exceptional cases. In addition, the protectable budget will include the costs of material execution, technical fees, studies and fees associated with the works.
