The VIII edition of the Galatzó Trail mountain race will be remembered as an epic edition. The organisers and the thousand entrants lived with uncertainty in the hours leading up to the race, as the weather instability threatened to disrupt the normal development of the event. And so it was, the organisation, after analysing the situation on the ground and in coordination with the security and emergency services, and the Federació Balear de Muntanya i Escalada (Balearic Federation of Mountain and Climbing), decided to activate plan B for the event, canceling the climb to the peaks of Galatzó and S'Esclop, which were the most difficult points, mainly due to the lack of visibility and heavy rain at times.

At 8:30 a.m. the long distance, Galatzó Legend, started. At 10:00 a.m. it was the turn of the medium distance, Galatzó Half; and at 10:30 a.m. the new route that premiered the event, Galatzó Explorer, started.
