Held by "Amics de la Terra", on 7th November
On Saturday, 7th November at 10.30h., Calvià 2000 is hosting a free course on domestic compost for all Calvià residents who wish to participate.
Compost is the best way to reduce domestic waste, and for that reason Calvià 2000 is offering a free course, held by "Amics de la Terra" (Friends of the Earth). The said course will also include a follow up at the homes of the participants, thanks to the agreement signed by the "Consell de Mallorca, Tirme and Mallorca Recicla".
The course is split into two parts – theory and practical. It lasts approximately 90 minutes and is mainly aimed at families of Calvià who have a small garden. The course will explain what compost is, how to make it, and what results to expect.
Following the course, monitors of "Amics de la Terra" will visit each participant, around two or three months after the compost heap has been started. One to one supervision of the process will also be carried out, as well as a telephone help line where uncertainties and problems can be solved.
