The Town Hall has given to both associations, the grants corresponding to the disabled people Social Service programme
The Association for disabled people in the municipality of Calvià (ASDICA) and the autistic children parents Association in the Balearic Islands (APNAB), have received today the finantial grants which yearly the Town Hall gives in order to subsidize the social and cultural dinamization programmes and free time, which these entities develop through workshops, leisure and/or cultural activities, with the aim of promoting the community integration and avoid the disabled people social isolation.
Therefore, the Mayor of Calvià, Carlos Delgado, has given, together with the Deputy Mayor for Social Services, Cristina de León, a total sum of 5.000 euros for mentioned grants.
It is to be highlighted that from ASDICA , a project is being created for the use of 40 disabled teenagers and young people which includes leisure weekends out and both, social and cultural activities during the whole week; whereas APNAB develops a project , forwarded to 14 autistic children and teenagers and offers them social hability training in order to improve their relations and to enjoy the leisure and free time activities offered by the community.
