It will start a 9 a.m. next to the sports center in Magaluf and the finish line will be located at the new athletics track. The traffic will be affected from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Calvià International Marathon´s XXVII edition – Grand Prix- CAM, will take place on Sunday 12th December.
The marathon will start at 9 am at the Avenida de las Palmeras in Magaluf, (next to the sports center), and the finish line will be located at the athletics track, as last year. The route is similar to the 2009´s edition and the races to take place, are as follows: 10 km Nordic Walking, 10.000 metres, half marathon and marathon. For this reason, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the traffic will be affected on the road which goes from Magaluf to Son Ferrer, from there towards Sta.Ponça and to the mill´s roundabout.
The race will count, this year, with Fabián Roncero, Requejo and the Polish athlete ,Maciek Miercko, last edition´s winner, as outstanding athletes.
The traditional runner´s fair will take place at the sports track´s covered area, where there will be stands dedicated to the athletes and where both, bag and dorsals will be given to the participants. The also traditional pasta lunch is due to take place on Saturday 11th December, at the Cala Blanca Hotel, at 13 h. More information and registrations at the web www.maratondecalvia.com.
