Ballet and theater to celebrate the Christmas festivities
Due to the Christmas festivities, the Calvià Town Hall has organized various cultural events to share with the family and friends during these festive days.
The first of them is a Ballet Show, which will take place at the Auditorium in Peguera from 7.30 p.m on Sunday 26th , consisted of a double act ballet based on the E.T.A Hoffman´s story, The nutcracker and the king of mice, with Marius Petipa´s libretto, music composed by Tchaikovsky and choreography by the ballet company PASODOS.
The story starts with a Christmas party, at Clara´s parents house. Drosselmeyer brings her niece various presents, in between them, a nutcracker with the shape of a soldier. Clara´s brother, Flirtz, tries to get it from her and breaks it.
Entrance tickets at the box office: 12 euros/children and 15 euros/adult.
On the following day, Monday 27th December, Family Musical Theater with the performance of the play Hansel and Gretel at the Auditorium in Peguera from 7 p.m.
Lost in the middle of a dark and gloomy forest, little Hansel and Gretel go into a trip with the only aim of finding their way home. But a light will take them to a magic house made of sweets. Musical theater for the general public with a creative, different and surprising staging which arrives to Calvià within the “Christmas at public theaters” campaign, organized by the ATAPIB.

And on Thursday 30th , Family Theater at the Auditorium in Peguera with the performance of the play “The princess, the giant and the fisherman´s son”. Based on the Antoni Maria Alcover´s story, “The fisherman´s son”. A compulsive fisherman, who only thinks of having fun and because of his gambling games, gets involved in a dispute which can either pay with his death or by giving his son to a giant. Theater for the general public, ideal (from 3 to 8 years).
Entrance tickets: 3 euros.
