The Saharan children, members of the programme 'Holidays in Peace 2011', who have spent the Summer in Calvià, have lived the farewell ceremony which has taken place at the Town Hall´s gardens, this morning.

The Saharan children, members of the programme 'Holidays in Peace 2011' and their foster caring families for the two months that they have spent in our municipality, have lived the farewell ceremony which has taken place at the Town Hall´s gardens, this morning.

Six children with ages that range from 6 to 12 years old, have spent two months in Calvià with foster caring families, members of the 'Holidays in Peace 2011' programme. Families from Santa Ponça, Magalluf, Portals Nous, Son Ferrer and Costa d´en Blanes have been in charge of making the children spend and have a happy Summer, who once more, leave the island enchanted with their experience lived.

Both, the children and their foster caring families have been able to enjoy of a snack at the meeting, in which the Deputy Mayor for Social Services, Cristina de León, has been present. Also, the Calvià Town Hall has given them a memento of their stay.
