The Mayor, Manuel Onieva, in representation of the Calvià Town Hall, wants to publicly express his most sincere congratulations to both restaurants in the municipality achieving a Michelín star in the new guide which this entity has recently presented. Both restaurants, Tristán in Puerto Portals, directed by Gerhard Schwaiger, awarded for the second time, and Es Fum at St. Regis Mardavall´s resort in Punta Negra, with its chef Thomas Khal in charge -awarded for the first time- are a clear example of the spirit of quality in the service, which the consistory is committed with.
The gastronomy is, with no doubt, one of the main signs of identity which has a holiday destination such is ours and its promotion and support from the institutions is essential to attract a tourism of quality to our community and thus, to our municipality.
Both awarded restaurants are exceptional and through their work, they have become authentic ambassadors of Calvià nation and international-wide. In this sense, the Calvià Town Hall is committed to offer all the institutional support to all those establishments decided to improve both, their installations and their offer because they are, with no doubt, who will succeed in establishing the name of Calvià in the position which it belongs to in all fields, from the cultural or leisure to the sport or educational passing, obviously, through the gastronomic and complementary offer.
