A series of courses organized by the training company GINFOR and forwarded to workers of the catering industry, are being given with a great success at the Ifoc premises in Palmanova.

A series of courses organized by the training company GINFOR and forwarded to workers of the catering industry, are being given with a great success at the Ifoc premises in Palmanova.

These free courses of cocktail bartending, Majorcan wines: cooking and pairing, wine tasting and tapas are framed within the catering industry´s plan of continuous training, forwarded not only to the retraining but also to the improvement of the worker.

The pupils of the courses given at present, highlight how useful these courses are as they can put them into practice at the company on the same day.

The courses mentioned below, took place during the month of July. These are as follows:

- "Cocktail bartending": of 24 hours duration in which the pupils submerge in the different families of cocktails; the handling of utensils used in cocktail bartending; handling of the cocktail shaker as well as the decoration and final presentation of the drink.

- "Majorcan wines: cooking and pairing": of 10 hours duration. The pupils of this course learn the different types of Majorcan wines existing in the market today, as well as the key for a good pairing.

- The "wine list" course of 25 hours duration, will take place in August, in which the pupils will learn the different types of wines and the characteristics of each one; the making process of the different types of wines; carry out the presentation of both, the wine tasting and the pairing between meal and wine.

- The "tapas: the last urban cooking" course of 16 hours duration, and which vacancies are now occupied, is programmed for the month of September. The pupils will learn how to make different types of tapas and how to present them as well as they will learn a little bit of the history of this new culinary trend.
