The XIX edition of the Calvià International Marathon, which will be held on the forthcoming 16th December, and which this year includes the nomenclature Magaluf, has been presented this morning.
The XIX edition of the Calvià International Marathon, which will be held on the forthcoming 16th December, and which this year includes the nomenclature Magaluf, has been presented this morning at the Calvià Town Hall´s plenary hall.
Apart from this year´s novelty of change of name to Magaluf International Marathon, there is another novelty which consists of three races: the half distance marathon, a 10 km marathon and a 10 km nordic walking. The marathon distance has been cancelled in this edition, given the proximity of the one next year, which will take place on 3rd March.
As every other year, the starting point will take place at the Calvià´s athletics track, on the 16th December at 9 a.m. The itinerary, (Magaluf, Son Ferrer, Palmanova and Portals Nous), will be more attractive for the athletes, as they will be supported by the attending public.
As the same as other years, the Hotel Vistasol, one of the race´s sponsors, will hold the pasta party, which will take place one day prior to the race.
