The tournament will take place from Thursday 9th May until Monday 13th and it is expected the participation of more than 1.000 people from 30 countries. The event´s economic impact will reach one thousand euros
The Calvià Town Hall has signed an agreement this morning with the company WPIST and Viajes Adramar, through which Santa Ponça will be the setting of the Mallorca Football Tournament, a sport event which expects to gather more than 1.000 participants from thirty countries.
The tournament, which is a reduced version of the prestigious "World Police Indoor Soccer Tournament", will be held in Santa Ponça from Thursday 9th May until Monday 13th and in which police officers, firemen, customs officers, military staff and staff of the Ministry of the Interior can participate with special invitations from the organization. The organization expects the same participation as last year, where it took place in the area of Can Pastilla, reaching 1.000 participants from 30 countries. About 2.000 people, including companions, will stay in four hotels of Santa Ponça.
According to the organisers, the destination´s total economic impact (adding the direct and the indirect) will reach to almost one thousand euros.
Thus, the consistory reinforces its commitment with the binomial sport and tourism, for which it is commited to from the begining of the legislature.
