The traditional Calvià Gastronomic Month arrives in October with the participation of 50 restaurants spread throughout the municipality and which will delight their guests with menus of 10,12 and 16 euros.
The Calvià Town Hall's plenary room has been the place chosen to present the October's Gastronomic Month, which arrives after the one which was carried out in the month of April. 50 restaurants spread throughout the municipality will participate delighting their guests with menus of 10,12 and 16 euros.
The new October's Gastronomic Month continues with the typical format. Thus, the October's Gastronomic Month will take place every Friday during the month of October in four different areas: Cas Català, Illetes, Portals, Bendinat and Portals Nous; Son Caliu, Palmanova, Magalluf and Son Ferrer; Santa Ponça; and Peguera, Cala Fornells, El Toro and Calvià village will offer menus prepared for the occasion.
The novelty of this edition is the requirement of preparing at least one of the dishes offered in the Mostra with Majorcan cuisine typical products.
Thus, the Town Hall carries out a direct promotion of the restaurant sector showing the Calvià's cuisine quality and variety offer at the same time it helps to the de-seasonalisation. Furthermore, it means a minimum cost for the entering restaurants as the consistory takes care of the promotion of the event.
