The programme has as main objectives educate and raise awareness of the environmental aspects and of the saving of energy and water in the homes of 40 families of the municipality.

The Calvià Town Hall, through the Calvià for the Climate Office and with the collaboration of Leroy Merlin, has presented this morning its adhesion to the Green Homes project, a programme which has as main objectives both, educate and raise awareness of the environmental aspects and of the saving of energy and water in the homes.

The project will be developed in 40 homes of the municipality of Calvià, in which it is expected to save between a 5 and a 10% of energy and a 10 and a 15% of water through a "saving kit" provided by Leroy Merlin for the participants, which includes air vents for water taps, six energy-efficient light bulbs, a digital thermometer and a shower head.

The programme, of a month of duration, incudes various formative workshops about the saving of energy and water and guided visits to the Leroy Merlin's premises.

Having a home in Calvià is the only condition for the participants. The period to present application forms finishes on 6th March.

You will find the application form here.
