The tournament, which will be held between Thursday 8th May and Monday 12th May, counts with the participation of 96 teams from 31 countries. The event's economic impact will reach one million euros.

Today, the Calvià Town Hall has presented the Mallorca Football Tournament, a sport event which expects to gather more than 1.000 participants from twenty-six countries and which will be held in Santa Ponça.

The tournament, which is a reduced version of the prestigious "World Police Indoor Soccer Tournament", will be held in Santa Ponça from Thursday 8th May until Monday 12th May and in which police officers, firemen, custom officers, military staff and staff of the Ministry of the Interior will participate with special invitations from the organization.

The organization expects about 1.500 people, amongst participants and companions, who will be staying in five hotels of Santa Ponça. The destination's total economic impact (adding the direct and the indirect) could reach to almost one thousand euros.

Thus, the consistory reinforces its commitment with the binomial sport and tourism, for which it is commited to from the beginning of the legislature.
