Apart from the IBI, other taxes will be able to be paid until 14th August without surcharge, and also important novelties will be provided in order to facilitate their online processing as from 23rd July.
Calvià Town Hall has decided also to lengthen the tax payment deadline announced for the IBI payment to other taxes.
The Mayor Alfonso Rodríguez Badal has announced on the municipal radio station Radio Calvià that, apart from the Property Tax, the citizens of the municipality will be able to pay other taxes without surcharge until 14th August. These are the Motor Vehicle Tax, the entrance of Vehicles in Properties and Businesses (vados), Hunting Grounds, the Business Activities Tax (IAE), and the Garbage Collection and Waste Disposal Tax. This will not be a temporary decision as from the forthcoming year the tax payment deadline will also be extended until the month of August.
Aware of this economic effort which means confronting with these taxes which are concentrated in the months of June and July, and conscious that many Calvià workers receive an extra pay at the beginning of August, the Town Hall has decided to adopt these measures, meaning no extra cost to the citizens.
Also, a series of mechanisms will be provided to facilitate the fulfillment of the procedure to the citizens.
These taxes will be able to be paid at the Town Hall's collection tax offices until 14th August.
But also, one day in each area will be provided for those citizens who can not come to the Town Hall so they can fulfill their administrative processing in the offices available in their area for said purpose.
The offices will be available on the following days:
Day 3 in Palmanova/Magaluf (OMIT Magaluf 1 Pere Vaquer Ramis St.) Tel. 971-131126
Day 4 in Santa Ponça (OMIT Santa Ponça 1 Puig de Galatzó St.) Tel. 971-691712
Day 5 in Peguera (Casal de Peguera) Tel. 971-139207
Day 6 in Es Capdellà (Senior Citizens Centre 11 Platges St.) Tel. 971-233034
Payment timetable from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Another of the novelties is the introduction of online procedures as from 23rd July:
On the one hand, the notice will be able to be reprinted online and then make the payment at the bank, on the other hand, and for the first time, online payments will be able to be undertaken with credit or debit cards.
Those citizens who do not pay their taxes by direct debits and those citizens who it is certain that they have still not paid, will receive a letter from the Town Hall in which it will inform them of the measure and the formalities to be undertaken. (It has to be noticed that the Town Hall has no evidence of the payments, from the bank, until after 20 days, for this reason some citizens who have already paid can also receive the letter).
The letter will be published on the web.
