THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL PROGRESSES TOWARDS THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION WITH THE EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER SPANISH MUNICIPALITIES
The Councillor Fernando Alcaraz attended the presentation of the programme A Porta Aberta in A Coruña.
Both, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Fernando Alcaraz, and the Director General for Participation and Youth, Juan Antonio Marcos, attended the presentation of the programme 'A Porta Aberta' last Thursday, invited personally by Xulio Ferreiro, Mayor of A Coruña. It is about a programme which bears deep resemblances to some which are already under construction by the Calvià Town Hall's government team.
This visit is framed within the development strategy of the Participation's Department, which is undertaking a round of visits with those Town Halls which nationwide are laying the grounds of an ambitious participation model integrated in the management cycle of the public policies, such as Barcelona, Madrid, A Coruña, with whom it is already collaborating, or Cádiz with whom it has already established contacts. Thus, it is expected to share the resources and strategies of realisation, searching a greater social impact and an economic efficiency in the projects which soon will begin from the Calvià Town Hall's Participation Department.
The Councillors for Participation and Democratic Innovation, Claudia Delso, and Xiao Varela, for Urban Regeneration and Right to Housing, as well as Álvaro Montes, the El Ferrol Town Hall's Councillor for Participation and Linguistic Normalisation, attended the gathering which took place after the event.
