CALVIÀ TOWN HALL'S INFORMATIVE MEETING WITH BUSINESSPEOPLE OF THE MUNICIPALITY REGARDING THE REGIONAL GOVERNMENT'S PLAN FOR THE MODERNISATION OF THE TOURIST ESTABLISHMENTS
The Consistory collaborates with the General Directorate of Tourism advising on the requirements to avail of the Plan.
The Councillor for Commerce, Activities and Environment, Francisca Muñoz, held an informative meeting with businesspeople of the municipality to explain them of the assistance and advising task undertaken by the Town Hall regarding the Regional Government's Plan for the Modernisation of the Tourist Establishments. These regulations, born under the protection of the Law of Tourism of the Balearic Islands and the Decree 20/2015 which regulates the Modernisation Plans of the Tourist Establishments in areas declared as mature, expect that within 6 months (counting from 18th April) the establishments should have presented a series of documents to avail of said plan.
The Town Hall, in order to give support to the businesspeople of the affected areas (Palmanova-Magaluf, Santa Ponça and Peguera), is undertaking a task of information, advice and registration for the purpose of helping them in the submission of the documents required, while they are informed of the terms, in case of having to correct possible deficiencies.
All these issues as well as the terms were informed at the meeting, held at the request of ACOTUR. The meeting was also attended by the Councillor for Maintenance, Alfonso Molina, and the Town Hall's Director General of Tourism, Commerce and Activities, Jaume Nadal.
