Everything is ready for the lighting of bonfires in the different areas of Calvià
CALVIÀ LITS BONFIRES FOR SANT ANTONI
The festivity will take place in the whole municipality.
One more year, the citizenship of Calvià gets ready to enjoy of the foguerons (bonfires) which will be lit throughout the municipality.
Associations and entities have organised bonfires and barbecues in the different areas of the municipality for the night in which devils and flames will be prominential: the magical night of Sant Antoni.
These are the activities and the bonfires organised in Calvià:
15th January:
6 p.m. Palmanova Cultural Association. Bonfires at Miquel dels Sants Oliver St.
7 p.m. Es Puig des Galatzó Neighbourhood Association. Bonfires at Francisca Revert square.
16th January:
10 a.m. Son Caliu. Devil creation workshop at the plaça Nova of Son Caliu.
4 p.m. Calvià village. Lighting of bonfires at the plaça de l’Església (church square)
6 p.m. Puig de sa Sirvi. Bonfires at the Illes Malgrats viewpoint.
6 p.m. Portals Nous-Bendinat Neighbourhood Association. Bonfires at the plaça Alcázar (Alcázar square)
7 p.m. Peña Barcelonista. Bonfires at the Casal de Peguera car park.
7 p.m. Cala Vinyes. Bonfires behind the small beach, between the Royal Savoy Apartments and the Hotel Cala Vinyes.
7 p.m. Son Caliu. Burning of the devil and lighting of barbecues at the plaça Nova. Music and traditional dancing. Devils at the plaça Nova of Son Caliu. Barbecues and music with DJ.
7 p.m. Son Ferrer Cultural and Neighbourhood Association. Bonfires at the crossing of Falcó St. with Ocell Paradís St., up to the crossing of Àguila St. with Ocell Paradís St.
8 p.m. Apolo XI Neighbourhood Association. Bonfires at the municipal car park, Miguel de Cervantes St.
17th January:
1 p.m. Costa d'en Blanes Neighbourhood Association. As from 1 p.m. Lighting of bonfires at Nouviles square.
19th January:
7 p.m. Es Capdellà en Festes. Bonfires at sa Vinya square.
23rd January:
As from 7 p.m. El Toro. Bonfires at the plaça d’Europa.
