The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, along with the Consistory, has made a call on the population to denounce this scourge of gender violence that almost daily surprises us with new murders that given the deaths that we have already had at the beginning of year, do not seem to diminish. The entire Municipal Corporation joins a strong condemnation for these actions and also joins the pain and sorrow of the children, family and friends of Lisa Jane, of 49 years old, and citizen of the municipality of Calvià.

A gathering will be held today Saturday 23rd January at 5 p.m. at the plaza de la Pinada of Santa Ponça in order to report this new murder. Given the seriousness of the facts that we are suffering, it has been requested the participation of citizens across the island. Five minutes of silence will be held in memory of Lisa Jane, as a rejection for the incidents, as a gesture of support to the victims who have suffered gender violence and in support of the women who are still suffering it.
