THE MAYOR OF CALVIÀ EXPLAINS THE MAGALUF'S CONVERSION PROJECT TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SPANISH CONFEDERATION OF HOTELS AND TOURIST ACCOMMODATION
Both agree that the commitment to the modernization of the infrastructures is the way to gain competitiveness
The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, met this morning with the President of CEHAT (Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation), Juan Molas, who has firsthand known the refurbishing projects being carried out in the municipality, especially in Magaluf, to improve the quality of its infrastructure and services.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Antonio García Moles, the Director General of Tourism, Jaume Nadal, the Director General of Strategic Projects, Juan Mesquida, and the Vice-President of CEHAT, Javier García, he was informed of the commitment that both, public administration and private initiative have acquired in order to progress towards the objective of Magaluf being a tourist benchmark of the Mediterranean destinations.
Both, the Mayor and the President of CEHAT, have agreed in the fact that the way to be followed by the mature destinations in order to have future and gain competitiveness should be the modernization of its infrastructures.
