Calvià represents the Balearic Islands in the III Iberian Participatory Budgeting Gathering where it will present its progress in matters of Citizen Participation
THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL PRESENTS ITS PROGRESS IN MATTERS OF CITIZEN PARTICIPATION WORLDWIDE
The Citizen Participation Department participates in the III Iberian Participatory Budgeting Gathering which is held in the Azores
Calvià represents the Balearic Islands in the III Iberian Participatory Budgeting Gathering, held in Ponta Delgada (Azores-Portugal), on 7th , 8th and 9th April 2016. The Deputy Mayor for Citizen Participation and Youth, Israel Molina, participates in this event in which also participate responsibles of other municipalities such as Pablo Soto Bravo, Councillor Delegate of Citizen Participation, Transparency and Open Government of Madrid City Council; José Manuel Bolieiro, Mayor of Ponta Delgada; Fernando Medina, Mayor of Lisbon; Elisabeth Guy-Dubois and Hermano Sanches Ruivo, of Paris City Council or Melissa Mark-Viverito, Councillor of New York City Council, amongst others.
Israel Molina presented in this meeting the general lines of the participatory strategic planning system that are part of the future comprehensive structure of participation of Calvià. These basic lines contemplate the participatory budgets which main aim is to open the debate with the citizenship on the situation and needs of the Municipality and its options for improvement, and which will be presented shortly.
Calvià's participatory budgets are part of the investiture agreement with the challenge of returning to Calvià at the forefront of the political participation.
The Calvian delegation is completed by the presence of Fernando Alcaraz, Councillor for Participation and Youth, and Juan Antonio Marcos, Director General of the area.
