THE THEATRE COMPANY YLLANA LANDS THIS FRIDAY AT PEGUERA'S AUDITORIUM WITH ITS PLAY CHEFS

It is one of the shows included in the Programme Platea of which Calvià is part of

The theatre company Yllana lands this Friday in Calvià, with its staging Chefs, an amusing look on the world of gastronomy. The story focuses on a highly regarded chef who has lost his inspiration and must rely on a crazy team of chefs to create a spectacular recipe that allows him to keep the stars of his restaurant.

The show, which will be performed on Friday 22
nd April, at 9 p.m., at the Peguera's Auditorium, is included in the Programme Platea, of which Calvià is part of.

The Town Hall, in the Plenary session of November 2015, approved joining the new 2016 edition of the programme PLATEA, which aims to promote the joint programming of professional dance, theatre and circus companies for stage spaces owned by local public entities. What is pursued with this project is to revive and enrich the cultural programming of the municipalities, facilitate the communication between Autonomous Communities and guarantee the access to culture to the citizens.

PLATEA is the State Programme of Circulation of Performing Arts Performances in Local Entities' Spaces, organised by the INAEM (National Institute of Performing Arts and Music) in collaboration with the FEMP (Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces). It was formalised by the signing of a cooperation protocol between the INAEM and the FEMP on 8
th October 2013, and was designed to optimize the investments carried out in municipal cultural facilities.

Calvià was already selected in 2014 and 2015 to join the programme, which has allowed to include in the cultural programming important national works and the presence in the municipality of distinguished actors such as José Sacristán and Emilio Gutiérrez Caba.

Only four municipalities of Mallorca have been admitted into the programme, since it is necessary to fulfill specific programming and technical infrastructure requirements. The stage space hosting the theatre plays in Calvià is the Peguera auditorium, as it is the only one that meets the technical requirements to join the programme.
