A campaign is initiated to facilitate that residents can submit appeals

The Calvià Town Hall has lodged six appeals before the National Commission of Markets and Competition against the decision of Correos to leave without postal service to several urban areas of the municipality.

The decision of Correos affects a total population of almost 6,000 inhabitants of Calvià. Not only leaves without service to the area of Costa de la Calma (with a population of 1,621 people) but also to such important areas such as Costa d'en Blanes (with a population of 2,074 people), sa Porrassa, Sol de Mallorca, Badia de Palma and Castell de Bendinat.

The consistory considers unacceptable the decision of the national body to leave the citizenship of these areas without a service that is considered essential for the inconvenience and damage that may pose. Therefore, it urges neighbours to submit appeals individually and initiates a campaign of support to facilitate them the submission of said appeals which they will be able to find on the website of the Town Hall (www.calvia.com) or at the premises listed below. Each resident must sign two documents: the appeal and document of consent so that the Town Hall can attach a Registration Certificate.

To facilitate the process, the documentation can be delivered at the municipal register located in the Calvià Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and at the following premises:
