The Town Hall has acquired a fire engine with a 3.000 litre capacity tank for Civil Protection
CIVIL PROTECTION OF CALVIÀ HAS A NEW FIRE ENGINE WITH A 3.000 LITRE CAPACITY TANK
Civil Protection of Calvià has a new fire engine: a tank with a capacity of 3.000 litres of water to work on a first intervention and give support to Firefighters and IBANAT, in case of forest fire.
It is a 4x4 vehicle, with pressure pump and a capacity of 3.000 litres of flow, which can carry up to 6 people, and can access mountain areas. With the acquisition of this tank Civil Protection of Calvià has a new tool that adds to the two pickups that already has, which have a capacity of 400 litres each.
Volunteers of Civil Protection of Calvià perform fire watch preventive tasks, and act on fire attempts, as well as give support to Firefighters and IBANAT. They have done a truck adaptation course, and in the coming days they will make an intensive course for its management.
The vehicle has been purchased second-hand for an amount of 34.000 euros.
