ROMANIAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT ON THE BEACH
A Romanian citizen has been arrested for theft on the beach. 42 high-range mobile phones. Amongst other things, have been recovered.
Approximately at 5:00 pm, a young foreigner went to a unit of the Local Police of Calvià that was working in surveillance in the area of Son Maties Beach, informing them that moments ago some individuals had stolen off him a silver high-range mobile phone.
After searching the area, she identified the suspected thieves, who, when they realised that the police was around, fled towards the beach of Palmanova. A chase by various units of the Local Police in Calvià started immediately alerted by the unit that acted in the first place.
The chase ended with the arrest of a Romanian citizen MARIUS C., 37 years old, in the gardens area of the Mare Nostrum street of Palmanova. The other alleged thieve fled. However, he is known by the acting police as a Romanian criminal with a crminal record that has been arrested several times by the Local Police.
During the escape, the alleged perpetrators of theft were leaving backpacks they were carrying that could were recovered by the police.

After completing the initial proceedings, the Local Police of Calvià will take them to the Judicial Police Unit of the Main Office in Palmanova for research-as investigating possible committed crimes is something that corresponds to the Guardia Civil-, and for their subsequent transfer to Judicial authority.
